Red Osier Dogwood (Cutting)

from $3.00
Size:

This listing is for dormant hardwood cuttings, meant for rooting.

(Cornus sericea)

Native to eastern North America, Red Osier Dogwood is an adaptable, fast-growing shrub. It tolerates a range of soil conditions and can thrive in moist to wet locations. Its dense habit, bright green leaves and white flowers make it a perfect ornamental shrub, but it really shines in snowy winters when the scarlet red stems pop out in the landscape. The white spring blooms are attractive to pollinators and the white berries are a good source of food for songbirds.

Red Osier Dogwood is one of the easiest plants to grow from cuttings, and much like willow will often simply root in water or stuck directly into the ground in spring.

We are unable to ship this product outside the contiguous US or to California.

All scions and cuttings will be shipped in late March or early April with any bare root plants in your order. If you would like scions or cuttings in February or March, please place a separate order with only the scions or cuttings (no plants) and add your shipping window preference in the “special instructions” section at checkout.
