The button-like blooms are known to attract hummingbirds and butterflies and their prolific seeds are sought out by songbirds in fall and winter. This is a beautiful and hardy native pollinator plant that loves moist soils making it perfect for rain gardens, erosion control, and areas with poor drainage.

Light: Full sun to part shade, but more sun will result in more flowers
Soil: Moist to wet soils with pH 5.5-7
Mature size: 5-8’ tall, 3-6’ wide
Planting tips: Consistent watering is crucial for newly planted trees to help minimize transplant shock and establish strong roots. Buttonbush does not tolerate dry soils.
